Mystery of Unclaimed Lottery Prizes

Millions of people in Britain play the UK lottery every week in the hope that they can secure that life changing jackpot. You would therefore think that these individuals would be frantic to check their tickets the minute the draw has finished to see if their dreams have been answered. You may then be somewhat stunned when I say to you that a sizable sum of lottery cash never gets claimed.
The UK lotto is regularly holding substantial quantities of prize money that they are just waiting to be claimed. In only the five month period from September 2008 to February 2009 just under £4 million still remains unclaimed by players of just the UK lotto game. These are not just a mass of insignificant prizes either; there are many in excess of £10,000, a handful of more than £100,000 as well as one prize of £1.5 million.
If you have gone to the effort to buy a ticket for the UK National lotto, make a habit of checking your ticket numbers immediately after the draw has taken place. If you are fortunate enough to secure a cash prize, claim it as soon as possible because the UK National lotto rules state that any prize that has not been claimed within 180 days will no longer be payable.
The main reason given by lotto players as to why they do not claim their lotto wins is because they have lost their tickets. I’m sure that a good number of us have lost a lottery ticket along the way and have desperately attempted to find it in time for the draw but to no avail.
Depending on the size of your UK lotto win, there are several ways in which you claim your spoils. If your prize is less than £200, you can pick up your money from any UK National lotto retailer in the UK. When your cash payout fall into the category between £200 and £500 some lottery retailers may still pay out a cash sum of this size but for those who choose not to do this you will need to make a trip to the post office to claim your prize.
When you are claiming UK lotto prizes that fit the category between £500 and £50,000 again the post office is where you must go to pick up your prize. You will be required to fill out a claim form, show your winning lottery ticket as evidence as well as show your proof of identification before being given a cheque for your winnings. Cash prizes of this kind can also be claimed by mail from the UK lotto head quarters. Again you will have to complete a claim form and send your winning ticket as verification of your win. If you prefer to apply for your winnings in this manner, make sure you photocopy your winning ticket for your security and then send the ticket itself via recorded delivery.
When you are lucky enough to be requesting a UK National lotto prize of more than £50,000, you are required to make a trip to one of the National lottery’s regional centres and request your payout in person.
If you want to keep away from ever joining the long line of people missing out on claiming their UK National lottery prize money, it would be wise to set up a subscription service with the UK National lottery directly. If you opt to do this, your ticket fees will always be taken on time and you will be made aware of any cash payouts coming your way a short time after the draw has been made. Playing in this way will ensure that you never fail to claim prize money that is rightfully yours.

Euromilhoes and Loteria Popular

Playing the international lotteries around the world can be great fun and of course potentially very rewarding. My travels in this field have taken me across many lotto boundaries with one in particular " jogossantacasa" . This covers many themes and I very much enjoyed playing the Totobola. Euromilhoes is also prominent and again great fun.
